Mdm Monica
Monica discovered her passion for cooking and baking through curiosity, perseverance and countless hours of trial and error. From a young age, she learnt from cookbooks and magazines and, as her mother worked, took on the responsibility of preparing meals for her brothers. Despite having no oven at home, Monica's determination led her to improvise a charcoal oven so she could continue baking. Today, she continues to experiment with new recipes while delighting her family—especially her grandchildren—with the dishes and bakes she loves to create.

Esther moved from Indonesia to Singapore over 40 years ago after marrying into a Hokkien family. Under the guidance of her mother-in-law, she learnt the art of preparing traditional Chinese Hokkien dishes, embracing the flavours and customs of her new home. Today, with her children all grown up, Esther continues to express her love and care through cooking, sharing cherished family recipes and the warmth of home-cooked meals that bring generations together.
